Keiji Haino pays tribute at Albert Ayler’s grave

Our shows on 4/17 and 4/18 are now both sold out.

This happened because I casually mentioned that Albert Ayler’s grave is on the edge of Cleveland to the dude that is helping him with the tour. We (the dude and I, not Haino) were at the Last Stop Cafe in Oberlin when he mentioned Haino’s love of American free jazz. Naturally I shared the fact that Ayler is buried at Highland Park Cemetery, and the dude was pretty excited, as Haino feels a deep connection to Ayler, as this photo shows. They ended up spending the whole day out there, and then later that night Haino and Chris Corsano played at the Dionysus Disco Club on campus, where the dude was showing me this photo on his phone. So great.

Love it.
